MEDICON Laboratories Ltd should investigate the possibility of providing a new system which will help the order and procurement department to store information efficiently and accurately. The manual information system, inaccurate data of inventory system and inaccurate data of suppliers all cause the overall system to operate slowly. Thus order processing system should be automated. This proposal has given MEDICON Laboratories Ltd a proposed system for implementing MIS by keeping their records in a database. Orders and Procurement department will be able to meet the demand of raw material and deliver orders to customers on time. This will reduce time for the whole process. MEDICON Laboratories can simply redesign its existing system of Order and Procurement department i.e. they can implement the proposed process.


The journey of Medicon Laboratories Ltd. Started in the year 1984, when it got its manufacturing License from licensing Authority. With the aim and objective of manufacturing sophisticated Drugs and Medicines, it started its commercial production in the year 1987 with only 4 (four) products. The company achieved tremendous reputation and respect since then and the total number of Medicon’s products now stands at 100. The company also has veterinary division, which is engaged in manufacturing some veterinary items.

Mr. Md. Nurul Huda, the Managing Director of Medicon Laboratories Ltd., started his business carrier with M. N. Huda and Co. and later joined M/S Edruc Ltd., which is a family concern. He spent quite some time in M/S Edruc Ltd. as Procurement Director until the birth of Medicon Laboratories Ltd. Currently Medicon Laboratories Ltd. is an active member of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industries and Bangladesh Aushodh Shilpo Samity (BASS). Mr. Md.
