Introduction
All organisations have different types of businesses such as if it’s local, national or global or if it is primary or tertiary etc. They also have different purposes such as profit and non-profit, whether there out to make money for personal reasons or not to make personal money. Also there are different ownerships such as sole trader, partnerships etc. First Organisation (background) 1.1

Marks and Spencer’s other known as M & S was found in 1884 by Miacheal Marks and Thomas Spencer as a ‘penny bazaar’ in Kirkgate market in Leeds UK. Since the company started it has grown to having 750 stores globally along with 75,389 Employees. Company found in countries all over the globe. M & S is known for its luxury food products, clothing and house products. This company was the first ever British retailer to make pre-tax profit of over one billion pounds. Cancer research is a charitable organisation aiming to beat cancer overall. They are the world’s leading charity to support cancer. The charity was found in 2002. It’s a charity aiming to reduce the number of deaths of cancer. The charity’s slogan is ‘Together we will beat cancer’ Currently they have over 3985 people as employers as well as 40,000 volunteers to help beat cancer. 4250 scientists’ doctors and nurses support the work of cancer research in over 35 cities towns across the UK. Every year cancer research organise a variety of events such as ‘race for life’ which is a popular event in where many women and young girls from across the UK, gather together to participate in a five or ten kilometre challenge based in over 50 locations within the UK in order to raise money for cancer research. All donations help fund cancer research.

What goods do Marks and Spencer’s sell? 1.2
M & S sell loads and loads of goods such as Luxury food products including readymade meals and offers for example dine in for two which includes a three course luxury meal for two people. They also sell clothing for men, women and children.

Marks and Spencer’s sell cosmetics and electrical household goods.

What service does cancer research offer? 2.2
Cancer Research offer service to help people kill their cancer. They raise money to research new medical resources in order to defeat cancer. Business Activity of Marks & Spencer’s 1.3
Marks and Spencer’s is a global company as they are located in many countries all over the world such as United Arab Emirates, Asia, United Kingdom and other nations. Business Activity of Cancer Research 2.3

Cancer research is a national company based in the United Kingdom. Cancer research has many locations for its local charity shops and offices, they have over 500 shops.
